Ryleigh has performed in several voice workshops and recitals. Although she felt too sick to sing at our recent workshop, Ryleigh attended the event anyway. That’s loyalty! As a valued dancer with Encore Productions in Chantilly, Va., Ryleigh has performed in innumerable shows. Before the pandemic, she filmed and performed in their production of Home for the Holidays. In the summer of 2022, Ryleigh travelled to Spain to perform with her Encore troupe. These are her comments after the trip:
Although we had to dance in difficult conditions - no air conditioning and immense fatigue - I had an incredible and unique opportunity to dance and to interact with Spanish performers. I will never forget how genuinely kind and supportive these dancers were concerning our company’s dancing. This trip sparked my interest in traveling through dance. This gives me an idea for what I want to do after high school graduation. I will try my best to save money this year with an intention to travel the world next year - taking a variety of classes to improve my dancing, singing, and acting with the hope of auditioning to perform for cruise lines, shows, and to be a backstage dancer. I am so excited to see where life takes me during my structured gap year!
