Eleanor began voice lessons with Peggy this fall, and during this time she has made excellent progress in developing her lovely soprano voice. Eleanor not only sings in the Langley High School 9th grade chorus, but she also plays flute in the Langley Band.
Eleanor attended Cooper Middle School last year and participated in the drama program there. Besides being involved in the music program at Langley, she also participates in the color guard program.
Eleanor will participate in the March 8 student voice workshop at McNulty Studio.
Leah began voice lessons in fall 2023. She is an eighth grader at Cooper Middle School in McLean, where she sings in the school choir. She began studying the clarinet in sixth grade, and she also plays in her school’s symphonic band. Leah performed in our December holiday recital.

Besides her involvement in musical activities, Leah is also on her school crew team and she enjoys archery. She has been making yearly trips to visit her relatives in India.
Mackenzie Ross is a freshman at Flint Hill School in Oakton, Va. She began voice lessons with Peggy last spring and she has already performed in two student voice recitals, in May 2023 and most recently in December 2023. She also had the opportunity to sing a solo at the Flint Hill School holiday program.

This young singer studied piano for many years. One of the highlights of this past year was the opportunity she had to attend the Taylor Swift concert in Philadelphia in May.
Besides her involvement in musical activities, Mackenzie is a serious swimmer and is a member of the Hamlet Neighborhood Swim Team.
Michaela, a senior at McLean High School, has studied voice with Peggy for over two school years. She has performed in several student recitals and workshops. Michaela, a senior at McLean High School, has studied voice with Peggy for over two school years. She has performed in several student recitals and workshops. Since her junior year, Michaela has been involved in Theatre McLean, the official theatre arts program of McLean High School, performing in Much Ado About Nothing and Mamma Mia! This fall, she will play a leading role in their production of Mr. Burns, A Post-Electric Play, which will be McLean High School’s CAPPIES entry.
Michaela has been a member of the Traveling Players Ensemble (based in Tysons Corner) for three years; this past summer, these talented students presented plays in several Virginia locations, including Fredericksburg and Lexington. This fall, Michaela received honorable mention in the Northern Virginia Music Teachers Association (NVMTA) Musical Theatre Competition, and two years ago she received honorable mention in the NVMTA Classical Voice High School Division.
Last spring, Michaela received several awards in the drama and voice divisions of McLean Community Center’s James C. Macdonald Performing Arts Scholarship Competition. Next fall, Michaela will attend the Savannah College of Art and Design.
Ellie is a junior at Langley High School, where she plays violin in the Langley philharmonic orchestra and studies AP music. She also sings in her church choir and participated in the chorus at Langley High School last year. Also last year, she was selected for All-District Choir, and she played the character Ellie in Langley’s production

This past summer, Ellie participated with international students in a conference hosted by “Operation Smile” in Lima, Peru. Ellie has performed at our spring voice workshop and the end-of-summer musicale.
